Violin workshops with Andres Mostajo

As part of a collaboration between Iberacademy and Bolivia Clásica, Bolivian Clásica alum Andres Mostajo returned to Bolivia from Colombia in November and December of 2025 to lead violin workshops in Samaipata, Cochabamba, and La Paz. These sessions focused on developing the fundamental techniques of young students.

We are very proud to have played a significant role in the production of CIELO, a British-Bolivian feature film. Shot in 2023 and starring 8-year-old Fernanda Gutierrez, a Bolivia Clasica violin student, with a score by Bolivian composer Cergio Prudencio and involving top Bolivian musicians, this extraordinary movie has garnered awards worldwide on the Festival circuit.

TakuApu Festival (2024)

Having been invited to discover the wonders of Samaipata and subsequently developing a close relationship with CAPI (Centro Artistico Pedagogico Integral), Bolivia Clasica spearheaded the creation of a new festival. We started by securing the donation of a brand new grand piano for the town, enabling all kinds of musical activities, and in July of 2024 we launched the TakuApu Festival with a series of concerts, workshops, and street theatre. We reunited the Bolivia Clasica Chamber Orchestra with alumni and guest artists arriving from all over Bolivia, South America and Europe, and commissioned a new theatre work for the occasion, involving local actors and directors, as well as the brass band from the beautiful local church.
