This project, aimed at the young generation of aspiring musicians in the municipality of Samaipata (a rural area in the department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia), is an orchestral program that seeks to generate enthusiasm and social cohesion in the community and awaken new talents.
In 2024, to kick things off, we organized a traditional music workshop using native instruments built on site.
Currently, we run a strings training programme (violin, viola, cello and double bass) for children and teenagers. Still in its infancy, this long-term project will result in the creation of a first-class youth orchestra.
Our ensemble programmes are accessible to students from all backgrounds, and headed by teachers who are highly specialised in group as well as individual work.
Bolivia Clásica has partnered with CAPI – Centro Artístico Pedagógico Integral and the Municipality of Samaipata, to achieve more demanding objectives in arts education, both in terms of tangible results and depth of reach.
